American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a Level II trauma, tertiary medical center in Washington, requiring at least 1 year of Endo/GI Lab experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Large endoscopy department with 19 admit/discharge rooms and 9 procedure rooms, including a manometry room
• Patient mix is 30% inpatient and 70% outpatient, with approximately 10% pediatric cases
• Treats patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric with complex GI conditions
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between all facilities within the state is required; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or a currently active Compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Endo/GI Lab experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Experience with technical endoscopy procedures preferred
• Advanced therapeutic endoscopy training preferred
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provides endoscopy nursing care to a diverse patient population including ambulatory and hospitalized patients across a wide range of GI diagnoses

• Former permanent staff of this specific Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff from other Providence (non-Swedish) facilities are eligible after at least a 3-month separation
• RTO is minimal; up to 4 days may be considered, and larger RTO requests require manager approval
• All RTO requests must be submitted prior to or at the time of submission — requests made after an offer is extended may be denied
