American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency, at least 2 years of experience, and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-out cases
• Patient ratios are 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, and 1:8 on weekends
• Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and IV insertion/maintenance
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care responsibilities include management of CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal patients
• Utilization of Rapid Response and Code teams is expected
• Any color nursing uniform is acceptable
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
