Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric OR RN with general surgery experience and pediatric patient care background for a fast-paced procedure center setting requiring on-call availability.

Details

• Pediatric OR / Procedure Center setting within a children's hospital
• Primarily pediatric inpatient and outpatient patients, with adults seen on rare occasions
• Surgical specialties include ENT, Plastics, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Dentistry, Oncology, and Endoscopy (GI & Pulmonary)
• Schedule options: 4x10-hour shifts (0600–1630) or 5x8-hour variable shifts ranging from 0600–1630
• Weekend coverage is required
• On-call required: 5 weekday and 2 weekend on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
• No floating required
• EMR: SurgiNet (Cerner) — experience must be verified
• 13-week contract with potential for extension beyond 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience; acute or outpatient experience accepted provided the candidate has experience in the majority of the listed surgical specialties
• General surgery experience required
• Strong skills and experience in a fast-paced OR environment
• Verified EMR experience required (SurgiNet/Cerner preferred)

Additional Information

• Candidate should have experience across the majority of the surgical specialties listed (ENT, Plastics, Gen Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Dentistry, Oncology)
• Willingness to train in endoscopy (GI & Pulmonary) is a plus if needed
