American Traveler is seeking an experienced Hospice RN for a home health/hospice position in Spokane County, WA, requiring at least 1 year of skilled hospice experience and Home Care Home Base (HCHB) proficiency.

Details

• Home health/hospice setting serving Spokane County, WA and surrounding areas
• Schedule is 7 days on / 7 days off, 10-hour shifts (Friday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–10:30 PM)
• Caseload is not fixed — duties include admits, triage, phone calls, and RN visits as needed
• May visit up to 6 patients per day with a standard productivity expectation of 30 points
• Occasional travel required with a maximum patient visit radius of 50+ miles; scheduling is organized to minimize drive time
• Charting via Epic and HCHB (laptop provided)
• No on-call requirements
• No floating to other units required
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled hospice experience required
• Home Care Home Base (HCHB) experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid personal transportation required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient admissions, triage, telephone consultations, and in-home RN visits; base of operations is the office when not conducting visits
• Scrubs in any basic color are acceptable
• Free parking available
• Mileage reimbursement provided at the IRS standard rate
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within a 50–75 mile radius are considered local and are eligible at the same rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; requests should be disclosed upfront, as post-offer changes may be denied
