American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Vascular Access (PICC) position requiring VA-BC certification and a minimum of two years of PICC/Midline insertion experience.

Details

• Day shift position, 0800–1630, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
• Intravenous Therapy unit within a hospital setting
• Scope of work includes placing, managing, and troubleshooting PICC lines and other central lines across various patient care environments
• Role requires comfortable independent practice, responding to consults throughout the facility
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license currently in hand
• BSN from an accredited institution required (degree will be verified)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PICC/Midline insertions
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and Vascular Access Board Certification (VA-BC), neither of which may expire prior to the assignment start date
• Proficiency in vascular access assessment, central line management, and line maintenance
• Epic EMR experience required
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments including physical, social, and psychological status, and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and revise individualized care plans
• Executes bedside procedures across various inpatient care environments and delegates or coordinates care delivery as appropriate
• Integrates legal, ethical, and regulatory standards into practice with accurate and timely documentation
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for a travel assignment
• 13-week contract
