American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring 2 years of ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and an active NY RN license for night shifts.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a large academic medical center
• Floating across multiple ICU units, including Neuro ICU and SICU
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/critical care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required — candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
• AHA or RQI certifications required (copies must be provided)
• US Social Security Number required — Canadian SIN not accepted
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be honored
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius and outside the following counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington — local candidates from these areas are not eligible
• ICU applicants must complete a competency test with a maximum of 2 attempts to pass
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• More than 3 call-outs during the contract will result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
