American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/Newborn position at a hospital-based birthplace unit in Massachusetts, requiring a minimum of 3 years of L&D experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• 25-bed Birthplace unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 ORs, 2 recovery rooms, and 2 antepartum/observation rooms
• Patient population includes laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns with an average daily census of 15–25
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: L&D 1:2–3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural; Postpartum 1:3–4
• Evening shift: 11:00–23:30, with every other weekend (EOW) required
• One night of on-call per schedule is required
• EMR: Epic (charting system in use)
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum 3 years of L&D experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), NRP (AHA only), and EFM (NCC, K2, or AWHONN accepted; 2-year renewal required)
• ACLS preferred
• Experience with Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, circulating in the OR, and newborn care required
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required — no religious or medical exemptions accepted
