American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Dialysis position in Oklahoma City, working a Monday/Wednesday/Friday day shift schedule with potential on-call hours.

Details

• Outpatient dialysis clinic embedded within a hospital setting, also serving inpatient needs
• Serves both chronic and acute pediatric dialysis patient populations
• Hemodialysis machine used: Fresenius 2008T; Peritoneal Dialysis machine used: Claria
• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5:00am–5:30pm (12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week)
• Potential on-call hours required
• Day shift position

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient or group of patients, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Educates patients and families on care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — this facility enforces strict compliance deadlines with no flexibility on start dates
• Candidates who have previously worked at this health system must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior contracts are limited to one extension, for a maximum of 26 weeks total)
