Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Specialty Step Down position requiring at least one year of Med/Surg or Step Down experience, with ICU experience preferred.

Details

• Hospital-based Med Specialty Step Down unit
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Med/Surg and Step Down patient population with varying levels of acuity
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg or Step Down experience required; ICU experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• ICU experience is preferred but not required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• If you have previously worked at this facility, a 6-month separation is required after 26 total weeks before you are eligible for another contract
• Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical documentation) must be completed promptly — the facility does not negotiate start dates and will not accommodate delays in clearance
• Full Date of Birth (DOB) is required for consideration
