American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (Ortho) position at a Level I Trauma academic medical center in Columbia, SC, requiring strong ortho experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Position is based on a Med/Surg Orthopedic unit within a large regional academic teaching medical center
• Travelers will float to other MS/Tele units and campuses as needed, limited to areas where documented competencies exist
• Large hospital setting with 641 licensed beds offering advanced specialty programs including cardiac, stroke, and vascular services
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
• Epic EMR used; minimum 1 year of Epic experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license — SC or Compact state license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Orthopedic nursing experience in a large healthcare facility required
• Strong orthopedic nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from all Prisma Health facilities to be eligible at the standard travel rate
• A valid driver's license and Social Security Number are required for consideration

Additional Information

• EKG exam will be completed during onboarding due to floating requirements to MS/Tele units
• The facility is designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• First-time travelers will be considered with 1+ years of qualifying unit experience
