American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Large short-term acute care hospital with 1,567 staffed beds, operating as a Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center
• Neuro ICU unit with an average patient ratio of 1:2 on both day and night shifts
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available
• EMR: Epic
• Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Prior experience at a large trauma center required
• Candidates must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates and eligibility
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination exemptions are accepted for religious or medical reasons only
• Travelers are expected to participate in emergency response activities, including natural disaster response, as required by the facility
