American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience, active RN licensure, and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and NRP credentials.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• Level 1 L&D experience required; up to 2–5 years of L&D experience preferred by the manager

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Minimum of 1 year of L&D experience required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
• Level 1 L&D experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to a variety of L&D patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation of nursing interventions, medication administration, IV and blood product management, and physician assistance during procedures
• Collaborates with patients and families on care planning and discharge instructions, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks (including one extension) before requiring a 6-month separation period prior to reapplying
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer — the facility does not allow start date adjustments for non-compliant travelers
