American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Neurosciences unit position in Peoria, IL, requiring an active IL RN license, Epic EMR experience, and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Details

• Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Med/Surg Neurosciences unit (8C Neuro) in a hospital setting
• Weekend shifts on a rotation basis
• Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
• May float to other affiliated hospital campuses within the health system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, individualized care plan development, implementation of nursing interventions, and continuous evaluation of patient outcomes
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the full care team
• Upholds patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards
• RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than one year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded from consideration
