American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Vascular Access Team position at a major academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and proficiency in peripheral IV insertions.

Details

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Specialty unit: Vascular Access Team
• Role involves extensive walking throughout a large hospital facility
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• 1–2 completed travel assignments required
• Proficiency in peripheral IV insertions required; ultrasound-guided PIV experience preferred
• Knowledge of routine central line care including dressing changes, troubleshooting, declotting, and port access
• Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
• Adult vascular access team experience strongly preferred; recent IV placement experience from ED, ICU, Pre-Op, or L&D settings will be considered
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• Active licensure and 1 professional reference required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
