Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience, with night shift availability and multi-unit float responsibilities across a variety of pediatric settings.

Details

• This is a Pediatric Float Pool (SRO) position floating across multiple units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Night shift: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending at time of consideration; candidate should be aware this certification carries a cost of approximately $185)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Comfort and proficiency across pediatric patient populations required
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float assignments will be made in accordance with the candidate's clinical experience across pediatric units
• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience may be considered in lieu of separate PICU and NICU experience
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
