American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU - Stroke Program position requiring Epic proficiency, chart audit experience, and a WA or compact RN license.

• 26-week contract in a hospital Neuro ICU setting at a certified Stroke Center
• Monday–Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts (8:00–17:00)
• This is a non-clinical, quality and compliance-focused role — no direct hands-on patient care
• Primary work involves heavy chart auditing, data abstraction, and stroke protocol tracking using Epic
• Responsibilities include AHA Get with the Guidelines reporting, chart abstraction for pull times, and workflow compliance monitoring
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required for this role
• Floating is required between Cherry Hill and Redmond campuses

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• 8-hour stroke education certification obtained within the last year
• Epic EMR experience is required — no exceptions
• Hands-on chart audit and abstraction experience required — no exceptions
• Experience with stroke patients at a certified Stroke Center required; ER or neuro inpatient experience may be considered
• Code response experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• The following HealthStream certifications are required: Code BART for Inpatient Nurses, Treatment Pathway for Inpatient Nurses, Yale Swallow Protocol, Individualizing Stroke Care Plans and Education, and SNAP Stroke Neuro Assessment by Providence
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• This role focuses on ensuring stroke protocol workflows are followed, including chart abstraction, tracking pull times in Epic, and supporting AHA Get with the Guidelines compliance
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff of other Providence (non-Swedish) facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Minimal RTO is expected for this position; significant time-off requests may impact eligibility
