American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rockford, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Interventional Radiology (IR) unit within a hospital setting
• Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• 8-hour day shifts with an on-call rotation covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of critical care experience
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required
• Prior IR experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Must successfully pass an EKG test prior to completing orientation

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
• Develops and executes individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and hospital policy
• Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with established standards of care
• Provides patient and family education tailored to the appropriate level of understanding
• Participates in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Engages in peer review, peer feedback, and continuous professional development opportunities
