Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level 3/4 ICN position requiring a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience and ventilator proficiency, with night shift scheduling in a hospital setting.

Details

• Level 3 or 4 Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes premature infants (as early as 22 weeks), surgical infants, and hypoxic injury cases
• Special procedures include Therapeutic Hypothermia, Nitric Oxide therapy, UAC/UVC, PCL, Broviac, Trachs, GTT, and Ostomy care
• Equipment includes Tecotherm, BCPAP, Ram NC, Alaris IV pumps, Med Fusion for feedings, Servo Vents, HFOV, Baby Leo, and Giraffe warmers
• Charting via Epic; Pyxis medication dispensing system used on unit
• Patient ratios of 1:2–4
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• Weekend requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period
• Float requirement to Peds, PICU, and Nursery (infants up to 12 months)
• No on-call requirement
• 13-week contract length

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 ICN required
• Ventilator experience required

Additional Information

• 24 hours of unit orientation provided
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue or white
• RTO is not permitted after booking and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
