American Traveler is hiring an interim Director of Nursing (DON) for an 8-week travel contract in a long-term care post-acute setting, requiring an active RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Post-acute long-term care (LTC) management setting
• Role serves as Interim Director of Nursing with floor coverage as needed to cover shifts
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• Work week runs Sunday through Saturday
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities
• Uses Point Click Care (PCC) EMR
• 8-week contract

Requirements

• Active SD or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• LTC or post-acute care experience strongly applicable to this role

Additional Information

• Serve as interim DON, overseeing nursing operations and stepping onto the floor as needed to cover shifts
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local placements and will be subject to adjusted local pay rates
• No orientation hours are included with this assignment
• First-time travelers are not explicitly addressed for this leadership role — relevant leadership experience is expected
