American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 3 years of Level I Trauma OR experience, Epic proficiency, and an active FL or Compact RN license for a 13-week day shift contract.

Details

• Operating Room unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Level I Trauma center environment
• Ortho and neuro surgical patient populations
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS (both via AHA), PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience required
• Level I Trauma OR experience required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate independently
• Ortho and neuro surgical experience required
• Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) with 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be able to work independently

• Proof of vaccination status is required — declinations are not accepted
• Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment; a passing score requires an overall Angoff score of 83% or greater, 100% in the lethal rhythm section, and 83% in all other sections
• A study guide and tips for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation portal
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered, though a lower pay rate applies for locals
