Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position at an academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ICU specialty.

Details

• MICU setting within a large academic medical center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 50% of holidays during the contract period are required
• Floating required within the Adult ICU Cluster (primary) and Med/Surg (secondary)
• Cerner charting used; experience preferred but not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ABLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of total nursing experience with at least 1 year of ICU experience
• Experience in a large facility or academic medical center required
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration

• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced pay rate
• Role involves potential exposure to patients with contagious illnesses
• This is a 24/7 facility — rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and availability during inclement weather are expected
