Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech (CVOR) for a 13-week travel assignment requiring NBSTSA certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience including cardiac and endovascular scrubbing.

Details

• CVOR setting within a large academic medical center
• Cases include CABG, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve repair/replacement, tricuspid valve repair/replacement, VAD, and aortic dissection
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:15 AM – 6:45 PM)
• Scheduling is based on unit needs; block schedules cannot be accommodated
• Call requirements: 1 night per week and every 6th weekend

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• National certification through NBSTSA required; NCCT certification is not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience required
• Must be able to scrub both cardiac and endovascular cases
• Prior Level I trauma/academic medical center experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Two professional references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions

Additional Information

• Scrub in on complex cardiovascular surgical cases including open-heart and endovascular procedures
• A pass/fail EKG test is required as part of the onboarding process
