American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a House Supervisor position requiring a CA RN license, at least 2 years of inpatient acute care experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• House Supervisor role in an inpatient acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30)
• Weekends are not typically required unless a regulatory survey is on-site
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within California; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient acute care experience required (hard stop)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Critical Care or ED background is a plus
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ensuring timely intake, investigation, documentation, and response to CMS-defined grievances
• Provides clinical oversight of event reporting, triage, and escalation
• Facilitates and monitors Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), including corrective action plans
• Supports regulatory inquiries, complaint investigations, and survey readiness
• Reviews medical records for mortality chart review
• Works across departments when patient complaints arise
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they meet the 2-year experience requirement
• RTO should be minimal; any scheduling requests must be communicated prior to submission
