Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular OR position at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 3 years of Peds CVOR experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital Operating Room within a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU
• Patient population ranges from neonates to 18 years old, including adult-sized pediatric patients, infants, those with developmental delays, and patients with congenital anomalies
• Common cases include Tetralogy of Fallot, pericardial window, transposition of great vessels, open heart valve repairs, ECMO, PDA ligation via thoracotomy, and ASD repairs
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Shift options include 8-hour days (0630–1530) and 12-hour days (0645–1915)
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation is on-call only; on-call requirement is 1 call shift per week (end of shift through following morning) and 2 weekends per 6-week period (end of shift Friday through Monday morning)
• 30-minute on-call response time required
• Floating to the General OR to assist with cases when the CVOR is not busy

Requirements

• Active WA State or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and PALS; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Pediatric CVOR experience required
• Experience circulating with the described patient population is highly preferred
• Highly preferred skills include IV starts, scrubbing, and arterial line experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to respond to on-call assignments within 30 minutes

• One reference is acceptable for initial consideration; a second supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) will be required prior to start
