American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric OR position requiring 2+ years of acute OR experience, with proficiency in a wide range of pediatric surgical cases including neuro, ortho, and trauma.

Details

• Hospital-based Pediatric Operating Room setting
• Patient population ranges from neonates to 18 years old, including adult-sized pediatric patients, infants, and patients with developmental delays or congenital anomalies
• Case types include pediatric trauma (MVAs, GSWs, shaken baby), neurosurgery (craniotomies, EVDs, shunts), spine (scoliosis repairs, spinal injuries), urology, GYN, ortho, oncology, ENT, general surgery, and dental and ophthalmology cases (preferred)
• Robotics experience preferred (DaVinci XI)
• EMR: Epic
• 12-hour day shifts (0645–1915), 36 hours per week
• Weekend assignments are uncommon but possible if weekend staff are unavailable; weekend shifts are typically on-call only
• On-call required approximately 2 weeknights (1900–0700) and 1 weekend (Friday 1900–Monday 0700) every 6 weeks, with a 30-minute response time
• Floating may include assisting in PICU procedures, NICU cases at an adjacent connected campus facility, and assisting anesthesia with procedures such as intubations in MRI or IR

Requirements

• Active WA State RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and PALS required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of acute OR experience required; candidates with only 2 years must demonstrate high-level OR experience
• Combined adult and pediatric OR experience will be considered
• Highly preferred skills: IV starts, scrub experience, robotics, high-level neuro, ophthalmology, and dental cases
• Circulating experience across the listed case types required
• Epic EMR experience
• Two supervisor-level references (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) required prior to start; one reference accepted at time of consideration
