Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a hybrid MS/Tele & PCU unit requiring prior PCU experience, ACLS, and night shift availability in a Level 1 trauma hospital setting.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit (hybrid MS/Tele & PCU)
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating to other units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24/7 phlebotomy, rapid response team (RRT), and supervisor support available on all units

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience is required for this hybrid role
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• This is a hybrid MS/Tele and PCU unit — PCU experience is mandatory
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• First-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience will be considered
• Contract nurses are expected to support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular clinical duties
• 13-week assignment
