American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital Case Management position in California, requiring prior case management experience in California and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a Case Management unit
• Average daily census of 50–55 patients across an 82-bed unit
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within California

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required, including Med/Surg, Med/Surg Telemetry, ICU, and some ER experience
• Case management experience in California is required
• Experience in care coordination, utilization review, and discharge planning required
• InterQual criteria experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of submission; post-offer requests may be denied
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
