Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a rotating night/evening shift travel contract in Maryland, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and an MD or compact RN license required.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting at a fast-paced hospital treating patients across all age ranges, from infants to geriatric
• Patient population includes complex, multi-system diagnoses in a high-acuity environment
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with the possibility of up to 1:5 for lower acuity patients
• Rotating night and evening shifts: nights run 19:00–07:30 and evenings run 15:00–03:30; primary need is for night shift
• Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week (36 or 48 hours)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating within the ED specialty and to sister ED facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, and Queenstown) as needed
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• CPI certification required (may be completed during onboarding)
• NRP and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages across a wide range of complex, multi-system diagnoses

• Rotation between night and evening shifts is based on departmental scheduling needs
• Holiday shifts are assigned as they fall on the schedule
