American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Transplant IMC position requiring a minimum of 2 years of IMC experience and transplant experience, working day shifts at a hospital in Maryland.

Details

• Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) of an academic medical center in Maryland
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric post-operative vascular, kidney, and liver transplant patients
• Responsibilities include hemodynamic and neurovascular assessments, monitoring surgical sites for bleeding or infection, and evaluating graft function
• Monitoring of labs, urine output, fluids, and electrolytes is central to the role
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
• Every third weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating required within specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within scope
• No on-call requirements
• 27-bed unit

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of IMC experience required — hard requirement
• Prior transplant nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Administer pain control, immunosuppressants, anticoagulation, and IV therapies as part of post-operative transplant care
• Identify and respond to complications such as thrombosis, graft dysfunction, and rejection
• Navy blue scrubs required
