American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and proficiency in a range of advanced endoscopic procedures.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Endoscopy unit
• Magnet-designated facility and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
• Advanced procedures include EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• On-call required every 5th weekend
• Floating between facilities within the state may be required to meet facility needs
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Alaska (AK) RN license; pending licensure may be considered but in-hand license is strongly preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy RN experience
• Required certification: BLS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, SGNA
• Proficiency with advanced endoscopic procedures: EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must also meet the 50-mile radius requirement
• RTO is limited to one request of 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO
• Block scheduling can be accommodated
• Travelers who refuse to float between facilities within the state may risk assignment termination
• Any RTO or scheduling requests must be disclosed at the time of submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
