American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN with LTC experience and prior travel experience for a long-term care and rehabilitation unit requiring 12-hour day shifts and weekend availability.

Details

• Long-term care and rehabilitation facility setting
• Unit serves a mixed population including dementia patients
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday
• Minimum of every other weekend required, with scheduling adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Floating to other units is required
• Block schedules are not available for any reason

Requirements

• Current LPN license required if applicable; Vermont license not required at time of submission, but candidates must apply within 24 hours of commitment; NY candidates must submit proof of pending NY license
• Minimum 2 years of LPN experience required
• Long-term care (LTC) experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Comfortable working with dementia patient populations
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required for consideration — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required, as public transportation is not accessible in this area; all-season or snow tires recommended November through April

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
• All pre-planned time off must be communicated upfront, as time-off requests will not be honored once the assignment begins
• Candidates must be prepared to work their assigned contracted hours
• This is a 16-week assignment with potential extension up to 32 weeks
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility (straight-line distance) are considered local; those residing 51–100 miles away qualify for the travel rate
• Work history must include complete details such as bed count, EMR, and facility type
