American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position at a Level III Trauma Center in Grafton, WI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

• Emergency Department at a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
• ED has 18 beds and averages approximately 60 patients per day
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics, with 45% of patients aged 65 or older; common presentations include chest pain, AFib, and stroke
• Higher acuity patient mix at ESI Level 2-3; psychiatric, pediatric, and higher-level trauma patients are transferred to a regional trauma center approximately 45 minutes away
• RN-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 on both day and night shifts
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p–7:30a (36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No floating required
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities
• Epic EMR required; Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis also in use
• Bedside telemetry monitoring without a telemetry tech

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and NIH certifications required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Required skills include PIV starts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip and vasopressor management; TPA administration preferred
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, collected within the last year
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate with no radius requirement
• Unit support includes a charge nurse (may carry a patient load), RT, hospitalist, pharmacy, and EICU — all available 24/7
• Orientation consists of 2 days of hospital orientation plus one shift on the unit to learn workflow, typically on day shift
• RTO of up to 7 days may be approved for the contract
• Holiday coverage expected for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; professional appearance is required
