American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and MOAB certification, with night shift scheduling and local candidates welcome.

Details

• Behavioral Health inpatient unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes those diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and major depression
• Patient ratio of 1:8
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other units within the facility, most commonly the ED Behavioral Health (EDBH) unit or a geriatric Behavioral Health unit
• EMR: Epic; also uses Pyxis and SBAR documentation
• 13-week contract with the possibility of extension beyond 13 weeks
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• MOAB certification required (facility will provide if not already held)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Inpatient Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing experience expected

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Orientation consists of 24 hours of unit orientation; hospital orientation is conducted during week one and requires availability for classes each day
• No RTO is permitted for the duration of the assignment; any call-offs or time-off requests may result in contract cancellation
• Scrub requirement: solid navy blue or white
• Schedule is set per unit needs
