American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a 26-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital in Portland, OR, requiring a minimum of 3 years of inpatient care management experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• 418-bed short-term acute care hospital setting
• Case Management unit with inpatient care management focus
• Patient caseload ratio of 20:1
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between units is required based on unit needs and candidate skill set
• Travelers may be required to float to other facilities across Oregon, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent locations
• No on-call required
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
• No parking fee

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient care management experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• BLS certification required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license at time of consideration
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Scrubs may be any color
• Schedule may vary to support summer coverage, vacation, and PTO balance
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Travelers who float to the Seaside facility receive an additional $5/hr incentive for hours worked there, plus IRS mileage reimbursement; hotel accommodations are provided for consecutive floating shifts to Seaside
• Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Minimal RTO is expected for this position; requests should be disclosed prior to submission as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
