Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel contract requiring cardiac telemetry experience and Epic proficiency for a 16-week night shift assignment in North Carolina.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:5 in the PCU
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring is a core component of the role
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Floating between all health system campuses is required as needed

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience managing and interpreting dysrhythmias required
• Proficiency in peripheral line care/management and PICC line management required
• Experience titrating drips required
• Experience working with PCU patient ratios (1:5) required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• A zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced
