American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN with 2+ years of experience for a post-acute long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing facility (SNF) position in Maine, working day shifts in a multi-unit care environment.

Details

• Post-acute long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
• 3 East is a 31-bed specialized unit serving residents with Alzheimer's and dementia, with care tailored to cognitive and behavioral needs
• The Transitional Rehabilitation Unit is a 42-bed unit providing short-term skilled nursing and rehab services for patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and similar conditions
• 3 West is a 42-bed long-term care unit providing placement care in a home-like environment
• Nursing services may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed
• Coverage required across a 24/7 operation, including weekends

Requirements

• Valid Maine or compact LPN license required at start of assignment — license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of LPN or RN experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing or graduate of a Maine State Board-approved LPN program
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed

• Partners with residents and other care providers to maintain a safe and therapeutic care environment through both direct and indirect patient care
• Communicates effectively using both verbal and non-verbal techniques, particularly when working with Alzheimer's and dementia residents
• Previous employees of this facility are not eligible for this position
