Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience, telemetry skills, and a willingness to float across units.

Details

• Inpatient hospital Med/Surg unit setting
• Telemetry monitoring is part of routine patient care
• Travelers may float to any Med/Surg unit and may be reassigned as frequently as every 4 hours
• Block scheduling is not available for this assignment
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application — scheduling requests will not be accepted after an offer is made

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand prior to consideration
• Current certifications required and must be in hand prior to consideration: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Willingness and ability to float to any Med/Surg unit required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• A personal vehicle is required for this assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• This is a 16-week contract
• RTO is limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the assignment
• Med/Surg skills checklist current within the past year is required for consideration
