American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) Tech position at an acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of scrub experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the CVOR of a 178-bed acute care hospital with 12 operating rooms
• Patient population includes adults, adolescents, and geriatrics; general and neuro surgery cases required, cardiovascular cases preferred
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM), Monday through Friday with varying days off
• On-call required 2–3 times per week; call volume may be as high as 10 weekday calls per month
• Weekend on-call required at least once per month (24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday)
• Charting performed in Cerner
• No floating within the facility or to sister facilities
• Block scheduling can be accommodated
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of scrub tech experience required
• Cardiovascular OR/CVOR experience required
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Must be nicotine-free — facility tests for nicotine and cotinine; any form of nicotine use (cigarettes, vapes, patches, gum, etc.) is disqualifying

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Parking is available free of charge in the South Parking Garage
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Maximum of one RTO request allowed for the duration of the contract
• Facility enforces a strict no-tobacco policy and screens for nicotine and cotinine at drug screening
