American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan, requiring OB/L&D experience with ACLS, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM certifications and every-other-weekend availability.

Details

• 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms
• Nurses work across all areas of the LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nursing at delivery, and couplet care
• Patient staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to house sitter role and to a sister facility approximately 27 miles away when census and need require
• No on-call responsibilities
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
• Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Required skills: OR circulating and FHM triage
• Preferred skill: Scrub nurse experience

Additional Information

• Nurses perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training provided for hearing screens
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the contract
