American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Oncology position on the Bloomberg 11 South unit, requiring APHON chemo/biotherapy certification and a minimum of 2 years of pediatric IMC/PICU experience.

Details

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 20-bed Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant unit (Bloomberg 11 South)
• All IMC-level beds
• Pediatric oncology patient population ranging from newborns up to 25 years of age
• Diagnoses include solid tumors, leukemia/hematologic malignancies, blood/bone marrow transplant, infusion/biotherapy/chemotherapy, oncology acute care, and cancer clinical trials
• Unit may also care for general medical-surgical patients when other units are at capacity
• EMR: Epic Ambulatory and Beacon Nurse (experience required)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required on an every-other basis as needed by the unit
• No on-call responsibilities for travelers
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and PALS
• APHON chemo/biotherapy provider course certificate required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric IMC or PICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required

Additional Information

• Provide oncology nursing care including chemotherapy, biotherapy, and infusion therapy to pediatric patients
• Travel experience preferred
• One professional reference required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• Strong overall candidates are preferred for this position
