American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/Nursery position at an acute care hospital in Hays, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a Kansas or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a 149-bed acute care Level 3 Trauma hospital
• Unit covers Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery
• Patient ratio is 1:3
• Primarily manages deliveries at greater than 34 weeks' gestation; goal is to transfer patients under 34 weeks prior to delivery, though staff are equipped to stabilize and transfer infants to a higher level of care if needed
• Uses Meditech for charting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling of more than 3 or 4 consecutive shifts is not available
• Scrubs are provided for L&D

Requirements

• Active Kansas or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or Advanced)
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
