American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring discharge planning experience and Epic proficiency, with every other weekend availability required.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center with a total of 571 staffed beds across two campuses
• Case Management unit focused on care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review
• Patient caseload ratio of 1:25-30
• 5x8 day shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Will float across all areas of the hospital, including two campuses located less than 2 miles apart
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• Scrubs of any color permitted, except reddish-orange shades

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or Compact RN license; pending license accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Discharge planning and care coordination experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Diverse case management background preferred, including Med/Surg, long length of stay (LLOS), and ED settings
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within a comparable specialty within the last 3 years required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include needs assessment, DME ordering, plan of care development, regulatory compliance, and CMS-related case management functions
• ED and ICU experience is preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; requests made after submission or offer may be denied
