Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Nursing Supervisor for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an active MA RN license and a minimum of 5 years of staff nursing experience including charge nurse responsibilities at an acute care facility.

Details

• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with day/night rotation
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Supervisory coverage focused on evening, night, and weekend shifts across multiple nursing units and departments
• Acute care hospital setting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 5 years of staff nurse experience, including charge nurse responsibilities at an acute care facility
• Leadership experience required
• Nursing degree required: diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Ability to demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills for patients ranging in age from infancy to geriatrics
• Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) — the test may only be taken twice
• Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager-level or above (must be listed as 'Manager,' not 'Supervisor'); at least one reference must include a performance evaluation completed within the last 12 months, and the other within the last 3 years
• References cannot be provided by another traveler
• Copy of driver's license required

Additional Information

• Serves as the on-site hospital representative responsible for coordinating operational and administrative activities during evening, night, and weekend shifts
• Provides clinical direction to staff and evaluates care delivered by nursing personnel
• Makes staffing decisions to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient patient care across multiple units
• Functions as a member of the Nursing Leadership Team, working closely with Clinical Managers
• Establishes and maintains interdisciplinary communication and cooperation across departments
