American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position in Alabaster, AL, requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience and night shift availability.

Details

• 13-week contract at an acute care hospital in Alabaster, AL
• 4-Medical unit with 21 beds serving acute care and intermediate acute care patients
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12s
• Every 3rd weekend required, plus additional weekends as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 (variable)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed to like units, including facilities within a 25-mile radius
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license required — no hits on license accepted
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NCI, and CPI — American Red Cross certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
• Medical-surgical and telemetry background preferred
• Certifications must not be expired or set to expire within 30 days of start date

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• Navy scrubs required
• Candidate SSN and DOB will be required for consideration
• A skills checklist specific to the telemetry area will be required
