American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Direct Observation Unit (Telemetry) position at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Illinois, requiring Epic experience and a valid IL RN license.

Details

• Direct Observation Unit (Telemetry) in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
• Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to exercise independent judgment
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

Additional Information

• Assess IV sites every 4 hours and initiate new IVs per facility policy
• Maintain documentation standards as evidenced by passing quarterly chart audits
• Attendance at 5 out of 6 staff meetings per year required
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within this health system
