Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of recent experience, prior travel experience, and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg Tele unit serving as an overflow, post-surgical, and observation unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Unit is transitioning to a team nursing model with LPN support
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating will be rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact license — no pending licensure accepted
• Current BLS certification required; NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required (3+ years preferred)
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible
• Telemetry skills required; IV start skills required
• A copy of your Driver's License is required for consideration

Additional Information

• ADN is accepted for this position — a BSN is not required
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests made after consideration will not be forwarded for approval
• Holiday coverage: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
