American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ortho/Neuro Unit position in Janesville, WI, requiring an active WI or compact RN license, NIHSS certification, and night shift availability.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting, Ortho/Neuro Unit
• Patient population includes orthopedic and neurological cases
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating to other units may be required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Education verification required
• Prior Med/Surg Ortho and/or Neurology nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and state practice standards
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans, including patient and family instruction
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
