American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong multi-organ transplant experience (liver, heart, lung, and kidney) and Misonix/CUSA proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care teaching hospital in Weston, FL.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 11:00–23:30 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Operating Room setting within a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Primary focus on liver transplant cases, with coverage for other OR cases when transplant volume is low
• Transplant specialties include liver, heart, lung, and kidney
• General OR cases also performed, including Whipple, colon resection, mastectomy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, and laparoscopic procedures
• On-call required: 1 shift per week plus 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month (details discussed during interview)
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Charting via Epic (preferred, not required)
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
• No pending certifications accepted
• Minimum 2 years of direct OR RN experience with transplant focus required
• Hands-on experience implanting organs into recipient patients required — procurement/harvesting experience alone is not sufficient
• Experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures required
• Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA required
• No license violations or history of license discipline accepted
• Nicotine-free status required; negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine (nicotine) required within 12 months of start
• Two professional references from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director required
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required
• Previous permanent or per diem employment at any Cleveland Clinic facility within the past year disqualifies a candidate from consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — requests submitted after the initial submission will not be reviewed
• Orientation includes EKG and pharmacology testing, with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation; candidates who fail will be cancelled (study materials provided)
• Pre-start online modules are required and are non-billable, averaging 6–15 hours depending on specialty
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized immediately upon confirmation of the assignment

• This is a smoke-free facility with a strict nicotine-free policy — no exceptions
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• Travelers may not work more than 18 consecutive months across any Cleveland Clinic locations, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
