American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an outpatient Cardiology position requiring 3+ years of cardiology experience and active VT or Compact RN license.

Details

• Outpatient cardiology clinic setting specializing in cardiovascular and vascular disease care
• Serves patients across early and advanced stages of heart disease, including those with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) such as pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices
• High-volume clinic environment involving both in-person and remote patient monitoring workflows
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Vermont or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent outpatient cardiology experience required
• Cardiac skills checklist completed within the last year required for consideration
• Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment required for consideration
• Device management experience (CIEDs, pacemakers, ICDs, CRT) highly preferred
• Acute care experience highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care including cardiovascular assessments and triage of patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions
• Manage and monitor cardiac implantable electronic devices, including conducting in-clinic and remote device interrogations to evaluate battery status, lead integrity, and arrhythmia events
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure care for device implantation, including wound care assessment and complication monitoring
• Administer and manage cardiac medications such as anticoagulants, beta-blockers, antiarrhythmics, and diuretics, and provide patient education on adherence and side effects
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a board-certified cardiologist and nurse practitioners to develop individualized care plans for complex patients
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease management, device function, activity restrictions, and lifestyle modifications
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
