American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position in the York Division of a Maine-based health system, requiring a minimum of 2 years of home health experience and Epic/OASIS proficiency.

Details

• Home health setting operating out of an office/admin hub in Saco, ME, with a patient territory assigned within York County upon offer
• Caseload of 20–25 patients with an expectation of 5–6 visits per day; may serve as a re-visitor based on agency needs
• Adult patient population including med/surg, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, GI, and GU cases
• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend rotation options include every other weekend with a weekday off, Tuesday–Saturday, or Sunday–Thursday schedules, based on agency needs
• No overnight call; callback required 2–4 times per month between 5:00–8:00 PM, with notification of need by 5:00 PM that day
• No float requirements within the unit, though a 25-mile float policy between facilities may apply as needed
• EMR: Epic (experience required); OASIS experience required
• Clinician will be assigned agency equipment including a laptop, iPhone, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, and an INR machine — all must be returned at end of contract

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maine or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of home health nursing experience required
• Epic and OASIS experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Preferred skills include IV therapy, tube feeds, trachs, compression wraps, port access, ostomy care, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, and lab draws

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, skilled nursing visits, and care coordination across assigned territory in York County
• Collaborative team environment with an emphasis on good communication and openness to feedback
• Business casual attire or scrubs in any color are acceptable; jeans, open-toed shoes, and clothing with holes are not permitted
• Personal use of AirPods, personal laptops, and cell phones is prohibited while on assignment
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not permitted for this position
